The York Academy PTO is a parent-run organization that works closely with school staff. Parents are welcome to join or attend meetings anytime throughout the year. Everyone is welcome! The PTO works to fund field trips, family fun nights, assemblies, classroom supplies and more. The York Academy PTO's objectives are to:

• Promote the welfare of the children in our schools.
• I
mprove conditions for children in school and the community.
• B
ring about a closer relationship between parents/guardians and teachers so that they can work together in helping the children become outstanding citizens in the community.
Secure the best advantages of physical, academic and social education for each child.


So far this school year, the PTO has offered events to bring families together and support the staff. Some of them include:

- The Race Back to School 5K
- Trunk or Treat (record attendance!)
 - Events for families at Keystone Kidspace, Chucky Cheese, Roll 'R' Way and more
- Lunch for staff during Student-Led Conferences
- Uniform swaps for families during Student-Led Conferences
- A virtual food drive to support the York County Food Bank

The next event will be at Panera Bread on Wednesday, April 5 from 4 - 8 p.m. (Carlisle Road location). Grab a snack, drink or meal and support the PTO! There are multiple ways to place an order.

2022-23 Meeting Dates:

PTO Meetings will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6 - 7 p.m. The location will alternate between the Lower and Upper School and may be off-site.  When meeting at the Lower School, enter through the main office and head to the Media Center/Library on the third floor. There are two meetings left for this school year. They are:

• April 18 at the Upper School
• May 16 at the Lower School
