York Academy supports students and families experiencing housing instability through the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. McKinney-Vento services help ensure that students experiencing homelessness or temporary housing situations can continue their education without interruption. This includes students living in shelters, motels, shared housing due to financial hardship, cars, campgrounds, or other temporary living situations. Homelessness may include students and their families who are staying with friends or relatives because they do not have permanent housing. Eligible students may receive assistance with school enrollment, transportation, school supplies, meals, and access to educational services. York Academy works closely with families to provide stability, support, and equal educational opportunities for every child.
