Dress Code

Students are required to follow the Dress Code established by the York Academy Board of Trustees. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for school.

The first Friday of each month is a PTO Dress Down Day! With a $1.00 donation to the PTO, students and staff may dress casually. Homeroom teachers will collect the donations. 

See page two of the Dress Code above for details. As a reminder, clothing must be school-appropriate (no ripped jeans, crop tops, crocs, slippers, hats, etc.). If you have a student at the Upper School, make sure to talk with them about this ahead of time.

Proceeds will help fund field trips, family fun nights, assemblies, teacher appreciation activities and much more! Thank you for your support of the York Academy PTO!

Upper School students (7-12) are required to wear a specific York Academy t-shirt and black athletic shorts for gym class. The t-shirt is available in the store for $10. You are welcome to purchase the black shorts shown with the t-shirt, but it is not required. Students may wear any school-appropriate black shorts.

Please Note: Items in the Spirit Wear section are not part of the York Academy uniform and may not be worn to school unless it's a designated PTO (or other) Dress Down Day.
