If you enjoy acting, storytelling, stage design, music, or working behind the scenes, York Academy’s Theater program gives students the opportunity to be part of exciting live performances and creative productions.

Students have participated in memorable shows such as The Lion King, Fame, In the Heights, Clue, and Little Shop of Horrors, gaining experience in acting, stage presence, teamwork, communication, and creative expression. Theater also gives students the chance to build confidence, make new friends, and discover talents they may not have known they had.

Whether performing under the spotlight or helping with costumes, props, sets, sound, lighting, or production support, students play an important role in bringing each performance to life. At York Academy, theater is more than a show—it is a collaborative experience where students learn to take risks, support one another, and share their creativity with the school community.
