Military Pathways Support Services (Grades 9–12)

York Academy provides comprehensive support for students interested in pursuing military service after graduation. Through individualized counseling and structured guidance, students and families are supported in understanding military options, benefits, and the steps needed to successfully enlist or pursue military-related careers.

Exploration of Military Pathways

  • Overview of all U.S. military branches:
    • United States Army
    • United States Navy
    • United States Air Force
    • United States Marine Corps
    • United States Coast Guard
    • United States Space Force
  • Discussion of service options:
    • Active Duty (full-time service)
    • Reserve Components (part-time service while pursuing college or career)
    • National Guard (state-based service with both state and federal missions)
  • Guidance on enlisted vs. officer pathways:
    • Direct enlistment after high school
    • ROTC programs in college
