Please note that the free meal program that has been offered since the pandemic will NOT continue for the 2022-23 school year. 

If you are not approved for free or reduced meals for the 2021-22 school year, you will be charged starting on the first day of the 2022-23 school year. If you have been approved, your meal application will cover your child for the first 30 days of the upcoming school year, but you will need to reapply for the upcoming school year.

What can you do to prevent from being charged for meals? After July 1,  complete the meal application online for the 2022-23 school year (it's easy)!. Not sure if you qualify? Click here to find out. If you would prefer a paper application, please email Regina Arnold at rarnold@yorkarcs.org and she will mail it to you. 

Since we have over 900 families at York Academy, it's important that you apply between July 1 and before school starts (August 15). This is helpful because all the meal applications must be processed before the first day of school.



York Academy's main food distributor and the food manufacturers are experiencing labor and product shortages, which means that many items are not currently available to us. Orders are often not being filled completely, arriving late and/or being cancelled all together. As a result, the menus above may not match what is being served in our cafeterias. Our food services staff is working hard to prepare nutritious and delicious meals with the products we have and we ask for your patience and understanding.
